I remember starting my own career as a photographer. When I dove into newborn photography, I felt overwhelmed, a little nervous, defeated at times and lost. It was intriguing and something I knew I was really interested in doing but I had no clue where to start or how to achieve what I wanted. I have spent years learning and practicing and have picked up invaluable tips and tricks along the way. I know what new moms are looking for in a newborn photographer. As a photographer, I have stood where you are standing right now. I get the joy, frustrations, rewards and setbacks that come with this business that seems to be ever growing and evolving. I will help you come up with techniques and a workflow that will give you the boost and confidence you need to take your posing to the next level. If I can do this, you can too!
What will you learn that day?
This workshop will focus on the following key topics:
*Safety when posing newborns and how to achieve basic poses
*Creating a soothing, stress free and comfortable environment for both baby and parents
*Posing work flow and how to make the most out of the time you have during a session
*Tips on how to keep baby asleep
*How to make the most out of photographing an awake/fussy baby
*How to get creative with props when on a budget and just starting out
*Essential items you will need
*How to pose in props and on a beanbag
So, how will this work?
You will get to sit in and observe a full newborn session from start to finish. I will explain everything as I work. Afterward, a catered lunch will be served and I will take on questions from you all.
You will also receive a ‘Parents Prep Guide’ from me that will help your parents prep themselves and their babies for your session together.
